Sammy's Day with Grandma

Grandma came up to babysit for a couple of days.  Today they went for a walk to the park and the mall, right past the duck tours.

On Sunday, we went with something a little tastier.  Sam loved it!

Solid Food

We tried feeding Sam solid food for the first time on Saturday.  We started with rice cereal.  He was not a fan.

Holy Cow -- 20 Weeks Old

We started calling Sam "Little Dude" before he had a name. The nickname has stuck, and Grandma Barbara found a shirt to match.

Father's Day

We dress Sam in his goofy bathing suit, rash guard, and sun hat for a sunny Father's Day with nearly the entire Harris clan.

Daddy takes Sam in the hot tub with a bunch of his second cousins.

Sam was remarkably calm with all the female attention!

During his Father's Day trip to New Jersey, Sam tested out his baby pool and Grandma and Grandpa's big pool and hot tub. The baby pool was a little boring; the big pool a little too cold; but the hot tub was right up his alley!

Sam has been practicing sitting up, working on his strength and his balance. Here, he has the balance down pat, but the strength to sit up straight isn't quite there yet!

Holy Cow - 19 Weeks Old

I know 19 weeks is no great milestone, but it's nice having a reminder to take regular pictures of Sam.  The cow chair photo shoot was so fun and easy today that I'm posting all the pics -- there were no outtakes!

Sam is getting very close to sitting on his own.  As you can see in the photo with Brian below, he has the strength, just not the balance.  Here the Boppy helps prop him up so he can work on that pesky balance thing.
