Mommy and Rachel hosted a shower for Anna on Sunday. Rachel got to spend some time with Sammy when Daddy came to pick Mommy up.

"Meet Sam" Party

Grandma Barbara and Grandpa Michael hosted a "meet Sam" party at their house on Saturday. Coincidentally, Papa Gary was in New York for work and got to see Sammy for the first time since his bris. Lots of friends came to meet Sam, who was on his absolutely best behavior -- I think it was the happiest day he's ever had!

In Sammy's room at Grandma and Grandpa's house, Sammy sleeps in his mommy and aunt Melissa's old crib, which has been passed down from us to our younger cousins to our older cousins' kids and now to Sammy. Amazingly, it meets today's safety standards!

New Skill

Now that Sam has discovered that his hands are a part of him and that he can control them, he's testing them out every day. The latest: wiping his own mouth with the burp cloth when he spits up, and picking up and playing with his links.
