Happy Birthday Sammy!

More Birthday Presents

Today, his actual birthday, Sammy opened some great presents from Aunt Kimmy, Joy, and Mommy and Daddy.

First up, a construction set and hard hat from Aunt Kimmy.  The kid who refused to wear his fireman hat on Halloween couldn't get enough of this hard hat!

Lots of presents await at breakfast.

Then, this evening, a house from Mommy and Daddy.

After months of trying (and failing) with kids sized over-the-ear headphones, we finally get Sam to wear headphones -- the Apple earbuds Sam sees Brian wearing whenever he works out or does the dishes.  Just in time for our flight to Florida next week!

Sam's Room

When we first moved in, Sam's room was painted a dark, dreary olive green.  It had been an office for the previous owners.  It took us a while, but we finally got it painted and then, this week, added the finishing touches to the walls.

Snow

We got the first big snowfall of the season last weekend.  We got about 10" of snow.

Brian had fun shoveling, twice.

 Sam hated everything about it.  Terrified, he refused to touch the snow.  The next day's sledding adventure didn't go so well either.  Maybe next time.
